Juan Arenales , guitarrista y compositor , comienza sus estudios en el Conservatorio de su ciudad natal en Oviedo , donde también se forma en el ambito del Jazz actuando al lado de grandes del Jazz , alrededor del Festival Internacional de Jazz de Oviedo donde recibe el premio al mejor solista en el año 1982 . Ha estudiado con los mejores y mas importantes guitarristas :Jim Hall , Kenny Burrell , Larry Coryell , John Mclaughlin ,Egberto Gismonty , Carles Benavent , Gerardo Arriaga, Leo Brower , Manuel Barrueco , etc
Su labor docente : Conservatorio de Gijón , Escuela de Música en Galicia , Conservatorio Manuel de Falla en Cadiz, Escuelas de Música en Asturias , Conservatorio Andrés Segovia en Sevilla ,Conservatorio Profesional "Paco de Lucia" en Cádiz .
Ha actuado con su grupo en Festivales Internacionales de Jazz en Europa y EEUU.
